Which port is it leaving from?

Similarly I have a 40' container with lots of empty space available leaving the west coast later this month (July). Starting at Alaska then calling by California before heading here. I'm assuming that is too soon to work for you FP?

Actually I'm still sorting that part out at this point! The Alaska leg is a significant part of the cost for me, from CA onwards is fairly straightforward. Apparently there is not a huge cost difference between a 20' and a 40'.

The port charges in Australia almost double when you go from a 20' to a 40'

To answer Hongie better a 40' container from the USA west coast currently costs around US$4000 - depending on the port etc in the $3,600 to $4,300 range. I have to pay quite a bit more from Alaska.
