drifter45 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Hello eveyone, my name is John and I've been wanting to fly as long as I can remember (early 1950's). I finally got the chance when a good mate gave me a TIF the day before my 58th birthday. I started training on a Foxbat with John Gardon at Flight North near Ballina who showed enormous patience to get me through to my certificate. I bought into a Drifter syndicate at YTHY and Wayne Fisher got me through the conversion. Been having a ball since. Hope to learn a great deal from all the folks on this forum. 3

drifter45 Posted August 24, 2011 Author Posted August 24, 2011 Thank you all for the warm welcome. It certainly looks like this forum will be very informative as well as entertaining. cheers John
daddy-jake Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Welcome John, Great that you finally got out and did it. I learned in a Drifter with Farri. They are a fantastic machine. To say Farri was a brilliant instructor would be understating his talant. And your flying in some brilliant country. Safe flying.
