Guest ozzie Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I mounted my GoPro onto the float of Dale's Electric Lazair. Engine check take off climb out and a single engine run.
Guest ozzie Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 The Joby motors were only fitted the week before Airventure and Dale did not have time to program the controllers to their full optimum. They need to be connected together to sync 100% and the braking and regenative features need to be set up correctly. Rough cost breakdown Joby motors $1000.00 each, 2 off Controllers $650 each. 2 off Battery pack $3300.00 plus 6 custom circuit boards required Charges $350.00 each 6 required. Props are 36 x 20 Buy the time you add all the sundries build the throttles and battery bays you will need around 10 grand. charge time hooked into 3 x 20amp 115v home supply will give 75 minute recharge time. Duration excess of 45 minutes with floats and in excess of 75 minutes with stock wheel setup.
pudestcon Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Hehehe, wondered what the hell was going on for a micro second:laugh: Pud
Guest ozzie Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 If you turn the moniter around it shows a really good overview of the entire Airventure site.
Guest Maj Millard Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Great footage there Ozzie, brings back old memories. Dale is still recognizable, if a little older. I really have to fly a Lazair one more time !!.....They just fly so damn well.........................................Maj...
