Guest SamL Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Hi all. My name is Sam, and I thought I should introduce myself. I live in Melbourne and fly out of Mangalore Airport most weekends. My background is electrical, and currently work in sales. I started flying in 1988 in Cessna's, then Trikes and now Gyroplanes. Like most on this forum I fly because I love it. "SAFE FLYING" Regards SamL..................

Cheers SamL.......... Likewise, Sam. I fly from the Yarrawonga Flight Training hangars, where there is always a tea / coffee for visitors. If you plan to be up this way, PM me and I'll arrange to be there if I can. There's no pattern to my flying except available time and weather. It can range from not at all to 3 or 4 times a week. It is always nice to meet other forumites.

Eric Hi Eric Thanks for the welcome. Many years ago I 2 flew Trikes, and enjoyed them very much. What I flew was a Skylink Hornet RS/ZA which were very rare and very different. It was a 2 seat side by side machine that was imported in Australia from England in the early 80's. Very stable and very easy to fly. Here are a few pic's of it. Cheers SamL.....................

Guest SamL Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Those Kruza look cool, I have a couple mates into Gyros i am sure they would love them.....Eric Hi Eric These new Gyros run a 1.6 litre fuel injected turbo charged Suzuki rated at about 160hp. VNE 90 knots, cruise 65- 75 knots, fuel tank is 130 litre, fuel burn 17-20 litres per hour. This is a real cross country machine, and I hope to be upgrading real soon. Regards SamL.................
