Guest rocketdriver Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 In 1985 my mother was 64 and, despite Dad having been a wartime pilot and post war glider pilot, she had never been up in a glider .... so there she was on the ground in Benalla, just back from her TIF, thrilled to bits .... "He even let me have a go with the levers and footrests" .... A note I just found in one of my old log books ..... and yes, it was me that "let her have a go"!

I don't think it was long afterwards that Ed passed away, I knew of him more than knew him, if you know what I mean ... cheers RD
