Spin Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 After a bit of a drought, suddenly we are spoilt for choice of fly in events in SEQ. In addition to the Jacobs Well Open Day, mentioned elsewhere, there is this one, styled as a "Gathering of Eagles"
Tomo Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Looks good, I'll be glider towing though this weekend!
XP503 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Yes it is a bit annoying! I have the AGM at the Southport Flying Club in the morning then hoping to duck up to Heck Field for a look around. The brekky at Straddy also falls on this weekend but I heard it may be postponed/combined with the Heck Field shin-dig. What are you towing in Tomo?
Spin Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Hey David, do the folk at Southport know you're coming down in "one of those ultralight thingies?" May see you at Jacobs Well later on then.
Tomo Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 What are you towing in Tomo? We use two Pawnee's, and do tow training in a 182
davebutler Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Would have liked to be at this 1 but will be supporting the locals at Heck. To many things on this week end,not enough time , not enough aeroplanes:cheezy grin:
Spin Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 Did anyone go to Watts Bridge? I was very torn between supporting my "local" and going to one of my favourite airfields for a fly in.
P4D Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Brilliant day for aviators. Photos by R Knight. 1
