Hi all,

I am sitting the RAA Navigation & Meterology exam tomorrow and just wondering if anybody has any tips or handy hints for me?

Then watch out for being marked wrong for a correct answer. There's still errors in RAA exam answer sheets. Hopefully your CFI will resolve the difficulty by marking correctly. For example their answer for an example of "Mechanical Turbulence" is absolutely wrong.

thanks all - did the exam this afternoon and just passed at 80%.. there were some weird questions though.. like atleast 3 questions on non-radio equipped aircraft, I have never flown or even met anyone who does fly a non-radio equipped aircraft so had some difficulty answering those questions (My CFI does tell me though that there are more non-radio aircraft on the mainland - im a tasmanian) 004_oh_yeah.gif.82b3078adb230b2d9519fd79c5873d7f.gif

Lots of farmers, who use them for farm purposes don't have radios, as they never come near an aerodrome. Prior to the change in regs that mandates radio use at all Certified & Registered ADs, there were a greater number without radios. That change meant that quite a few who hadn't got them, needed to do so.

P.S. Congratulations on gaining your endorsement.

Good stuff!

Yeah up here in Austra... oops... mainland... things are a little more wide spread! I've flown quite a few aircraft without radio on properties etc... well they are always usually fitted with UHF though.

Well done on the Pass, great work.
