pudestcon Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I really enjoyed that. Reminds me of my sister-in-law's father who purchased a Mk3 Scout but never got it off the ground - He did plenty of strip runs just feeling his way until a wheel fell off, the axle dug in and over he went breaking the prop in the process. It sat in his backyard where I used to drool over it for a lot of years before being sold to a local farmer. As far as I know it is still in the farmer's shed. Who is the guy in the video? Pud
Guest davidh10 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Nice little piece of history. Thanks for posting.
facthunter Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Very much worth watching. A good trip back to the past and thought provoking Thanks Win. Nev
Bandit12 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Makes you want to go fly with as little as possible, doesn't it! Although climbing out of ground effect is always a good start.... 1
facthunter Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The nostalgia is nice, and minimum planes are probably the most fun. They are (like the early planes generally) not good in winds. The early flying schools preferred to fly when the air was calm, but still had lots of incidents/ accidents. Our performance in that area is a big improvement from our early days. Nev
