Not reading a Notam

While working in the lab late one night,

 

My eyes beheld an errie sight..

 

A monster from the screen arose...

 

Someone landed at a closed airport and didnt bother reading the notams beforehand.

Not the first time unfortunately. No doubt someone on the way to Narromine over the next couple of days will fly into or directly over Parkes where the National Aerobatic Championships are being held. It happens every year. There was a reminder in the last mag about it so hopefully everyone has read it. From memory Narrandera has had closed runways on the Easter weekend due to car action too, plus Mangalore.
