Guest Teenie2 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 How do I get the spell checker to work (when entering threads). On the PC it just works ,but on the laptop nothing ,and believe me, I need all the help I can get.
slartibartfast Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 As far as I know, our site doesn't have a spell checker, so you must have one installed in the browser on your PC. If you are using Internet Exploder, there is ieSpell and it's free. For Firefox, there is spellbound (also free). Of course, nothing beats fixing our education system so kids learn to spell again. Write your local member. I think my year (born 1958) was the last to learn spelling and grammar before they started stuffing with it. My brother is one year younger and can't spell to save his life. Of course, he has a PhD and is a world-renowned scientist so now he can't spell in Latin too. Ross
Nev25 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I have and use iespell http://www.iespell.com/download.php and find it great. As far as I know, our site doesn't have a spell checker, This site does have a spell check its in the dialog box up near the top right corner of the box where you type the posts. It looks like a tick with the letters ABC over it and I believe it is iespell and it works very well

It probably appears there if you have ieSpell installed.
