Admin Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 26 October 2011 Shell oil warning CASA has been advised by the Shell Company of Australia Limited that some bottles in a carton of individual 946 ml bottles of the product Aeroshell W100 Plus oil, contained used engine oil from a leaded fuel engine. CASA is aware of a single incident where a Shell customer has identified the contamination in relation to Shell batch markings 091023B004. Shell advises this carton included mixed oil batches. Aeroshell products are not provided in mixed batches combined into one carton. Shell also advises customers to be on the lookout for the alteration by hand of product grade markings on the outer section of cartons. Aviation users of Aeroshell Oil W100 Plus (946 ml bottles) are requested to inspect the product packaging and oil quantity prior to use and to notify Shell Australia immediately if there are any concerns about the integrity of Aeroshell Oil W100 Plus. 1
