Completely back on topic- fuel systems.

 

I think we not only have to be fully aware of the fuel status and its operation but also design suitable taps and signing to limit the ability of a brain fade or distraction from leading to disaster. All the human factors play a big role in fuel management that should be priority one when designing systems. We know the human is always the weak part of flying.
