Thanks all 026_cheers.gif.2a721e51b64009ae39ad1a09d8bf764e.gif Forgot to turn the camera on a bit and missed lots of other opportunities.

Do it Pud, what it is all about 001_smile.gif.2cb759f06c4678ed4757932a99c02fa0.gif

It was an excellent adventure David. We had 3 Drifters (1 WB582 1 SB, and a WB503, a Luscomb and a Trike (Streak II 912 XT) do the flight out and back with two more trikes trailered out. 10 people all up - 8 pilots, 2 landlubbers (there for the fishing.... my favourite fish is now yellowbelly).

... some real flying for sure Maj, real 076_joystick.gif.1d2ed07889352a966338f6390696faff.gif at times

Sorry guys forgot the words,067_bash.gif.26fb8516c20ce4d7842b820ac15914cf.gif

This is a couple of shots of my 2 girls and a friends Drifter 25 454 (Tim Osbourne )(anyone know where he is?) who flew it from Vic to central Qld where it now resides.

Maj Said.........." I am currently sharing my hangar with CB Drifter 25-352 which is ex-Rodds Bay. Strangely my Drifter was 25-452 ! "

And mine is 25 353, so we are getting pretty close to lining them all up Maj.

Tex, love the shots and the video's especially when you are land and we can see the legs pumping, and so many great strips. most of all loved the adventure. If you ever decide to do a coastal run, give me a call, we can offer tons of amazing beach flying and fishing. (Flyfishing big_gun.gif.bf32cf238ff2a3722884beddb76a2705.gif) Loads of accommodation and Maj and Ian are not that far up the coast.

Pud, i went to school at Keaney college , Bindoon and flogged old bonbs up and down that strip many a time, drive.gif.1181dd90fe7c8032bdf2550324f37d56.gif often wondered what it would be like to fly out of it. Then moved to Narrogin Ag opposite the other strip you mention............... This worlds getting smaller.

Hey Tex, we are about 40 kms up the coast from Yeppoon and just tucked away underneath Shoalwater military zone (dodging Singaporean Blawk Hawks as we speak !! 073_bye.gif.391d1ddfcbfb3d5f69a5d3854c2b0a02.gif ) Amazing flying and loads of interesting strips. Any idea how to contact Tim ??

Damn it all Tex, you can't leave us with that awesome video and not give us a trip report, where are the strips, distances, fuel, any aircraft problems, accomodation etc. Makes me want to plan a trip to birdsville and beyond for the Xair next year! What camera etc etc!!!!!! PLEASE!!!045_beg.gif.b05ea876053438dae8f282faacd973d1.gif012_thumb_up.gif.cb3bc51429685855e5e23c55d661406e.gif

It was all BYO accommodation... Route: Tara, St George, Bollon, Cunumulla, Dynevor Downs, thargominda, Private property at Bulloo River, out to the 'Lakes' on the Qld NSW border, Noccundra and various local flying. We did the 405nm out to Bulloo in two days (one on return), took about 7hrs flight time each way and then did about another 26hrs or so around the 'local' area. Camera is a GoPro HD. Away from home ATM so that is about all I can bring myself to 'report' while typing on the iPad... :)

Thanks Frank,

Isn't it good to see so much conversation and interest in these lovely little birds.

I have another one (25 748) (One of the later WBs) at my place we are rebuilding and for sale eventually so at the momentwe are surrounded by drifters and their bits. 001_smile.gif.2cb759f06c4678ed4757932a99c02fa0.gif

I believe you are in the US Justin... fairly rare bird over there compared to Oz.

Was this aircraft Aussie built?

Justin does your SB drifter have flaps? Also, no belly tank but I can't see wingtanks either.
