Guest Maj Millard Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Boy tough when an experienced pilot like that flies into a mountain. Appears like therer may have been traffic above also...wonder if ATC was a factor there.........................................................Maj...
dazza 38 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Has anybody thought about suicide. Its bad to think that. But the guy was a top notch pilot.Knew the area.It wouldnt be the first time, that a parent has picked up the kids and crashed something.Just a thought.Slim chance of it.Just though I would mention it. 1
Guest Maj Millard Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Well I thought of that also dazza. There are a lot of airports in the Pheonix area plus large Air Force bases such as Luke AFB which has a lot of fast jet traffic. I think this will just be a case of a lot of traffic at that time, and probabily a controller overload, and of course a pilot forgetting how high that hill was. Always a shame but that's aviation...................................Maj...
