davebutler Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Hi Guys, I would like to take a friend & customer of mine for flip with a possible stop for a quick lunch instead of the usual Christmas lunch. Was thinking about 2 not more than hours total flying, will be operating out of Archerfield. It will also be a week day. Was thinking about Toowoomba, Caboolture, Redcliffe as possible stop overs but I cannot recall ever seeing anywhere to eat. It only has to be simple, hamburger etc just not Makkas, HJ's or KFC please:angry: Thanks Dave B.

facthunter Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Since you are the only pilot I presume, don't eat anything that might be suss... Nev
Bandit12 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 From memory there were a couple of pubs that served reasonable food within a short taxi of Toowoomba airport.....just make the calls and book early if you want to get in anywhere for lunch on Chrismas Day. Crazy Gallaghers should serve lunch, not bad food for the price.
rdarby Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 You can walk to a food place, a hotel I think, near Caboolture. What about The Trading Post at Orchid Beach? They do coffee, not sure about food.
dunlopdangler Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Dalby (any of the pubs or Coffee Club) fare is excellent.
rdarby Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Does Cherabah have an airfield? I couldn't see anything on their site.

I suspect both will be closed Christmas day and perhaps longer for the takeaway,. THen there's Subway and MAcca,s too they never close!
