I didn't get to experience it, but apparently my cousin said this afternoon their house shook and windows rattled... whilst they thought something had crashed on the roof, It was some jets flying around, and one of them must have broken the sound barrier!!

 

How cool would that have been to see/hear! Just wish I wasn't in town at the time

We get the odd boom boom here in the valley. They try to avoid it as it upsets the chooks.

Many years ago (in a past life) I flew low over a mates chook cage and it upset the Chooks as well ... Boom Boom.

Is it true David, that the reason you upset the chooks was because of how long it took your javelin to get from one side of the chook cage to other?

Many moons ago as an army cadet at Singleton, we had 2 f-18s blast over our camp very low and very fast, all I had seen was 2 blurry gray triangles wizz past (cue x files music) and then barely had enough time to cover my ears. It was loud, it was awesome.
