Admin Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 We should all put our heads together and come up with something for Nev.Old Man Emu certainly found a good one for me. I would 2nd that...what avatar would suit Nev????????????????????????????
pudestcon Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 What other things would a facthunter hunt? Pud
facthunter Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 It's an enormous challenge. I know I'm not up to it. ( and I hate to muck things up). Better not to bother. I'd rather put the effort in to the posts .( more go than show).. Nev
Admin Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 This is Nev...this is what he uses when he is out "hunting facts":
av8vfr Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 We should all put our heads together and come up with something for Nev. How about Mulder from X-Files..... "The truth is out there".... LOL
Guernsey Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 I have been Google searching for a caricature of Sherlock Holmes with his detective hat and a magnifying glass, unfortunately no success so far, however, we may have a good artist amongst our ranks who could come up with something for us. Just a thought of course and Nev would have to approve it. He is such a good and informative contributor he needs something befitting his calling and a Statue would not show up properly on an Avatar.. Keep trying guys. Alan.
poteroo Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Avatar is what we do. Been instructing formation over last 10 years - mostly in RV's. Largest so far is a double diamond 8 ship, with a 3x3 diamond,as in the pic, hopefully coming up soon. Can't claim the pic - that's from one of the local RV formation teams at a US airshow. Of course it's every RV ers' dream to participate in something like their Oshkosh display of 35 RV's in one huge 6 x 6 diamond. Yes, we do try with Jabs and 172's, but the RV's formate well, look good, sound good, and are the most affordable things after a PC-9!! Holding a basic (RV) formation clinic here on the January long w/e,(28-30th), and then hopefully, a much larger gathering in late March 2012, where we'll be doing larger formations........... watch this space. happy days, 1
pudestcon Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 How's this for Facthunter? OME The nose isn't big enough for Nev to use sniffing stuff out. Pud
Guernsey Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Fantastic, however I think the magnifying glass may be cut out of the picture when reduced to Avatar size. It usualy gets cropped. Alan.
pylon500 Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Put this 'sherlock holmes caricature' into Google, then click on image....
Guernsey Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 There you go Nev....what about it???
Guernsey Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Hey Tornado that's a very good one also. Is that an actual photo of NEV....it's certainly got the big nose that Pud was on about. Nosey Alan.
pudestcon Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Very good FT, that's more like it. Even the bloodhound has a decent nose that is suitable for Nev. Pud
facthunter Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Sorry Folks, I did reply to this and It didn't turn up. Let's try the dog. ( They like me, so I like them). Nev
Guernsey Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Good onya Nev, I was hoping you would choose the dog because I love woofers also. My last aicraft was a 'Supa Pup' and the name I put on the side was ' Puppy Love'. Alan.
pudestcon Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Sorry Folks, I did reply to this and It didn't turn up. Let's try the dog. ( They like me, so I like them). Nev Jeez I dunno Nev, There's another thread on here called "Screwing the pooch" - do you really want a dog as your avatar??? Pud
Guernsey Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 The Dog is man's best friend so go for it Nev. Alan.
kgwilson Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Well I still liked the original one of the 707 against the full moon. Instantly recognisable as Facthunter It didn't matter that it had nothing to do with the person behind the picture.
facthunter Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 That's a great shot but I think it's a 767.( I haven't been able to find a 727). Someone else had it on this site as well. Nev
facthunter Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Think Ozzie used that once. Didn't you?.... (as I recollect) Nev
