Brumby Aircraft Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Hi All, This is just a quick note to provide some info on our new Brumby 610 high wing. A short video on some initial test flying is on YouTube at We are also pleased that we were able to get a cruise speed of 110 knots from the Rotax 912s engine in what is essentially a training aircraft. The 610 with the new Lycoming LSA engine is still on the production line and we are really looking forward to seeing how that engine performs. For more info generally here is the URL for our website: http://www.brumbyaircraft.com.au/ Thanks, Paul
dazza 38 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Great Video Paul,I have always been a fan of your aircraft. You guys should be realy proud of your achievments.Well done.
facthunter Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Yeah, just put a tailwheel on and lengthen the fuselage slightly. ( And remove that funny wheel out the front ) Nev
Guernsey Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Yeah, just put a tailwheel on and lengthen the fuselage slightly. ( And remove that funny wheel out the front ) Nev An option worth considering ??? Alan.
facthunter Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Should save weight, drag and cost. ( And be more versatile and fun, for some who like these things). Can't see the development costs would be high either. Nev
Brumby Aircraft Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 We have just sent out our first tail wheel kit which we can now offer ,However for genenral training market tail wheel is not suited .The new production aircraft are 300 mm longer and fitted with the Lycoming so we will keep you all updated Paul
facthunter Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I agree with your sentiments. Tailwheel would be a small percentage of pilots, and in general ab-initio training would involve more cost with incidents, using a tailwheel aircraft. I believe your highwing suits it. Nev
