Guest Maj Millard Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Lightwing Sport 2000 24-4583 was auctioned on Ebay this week and went to some lucky person today for $38,700. It had been sitting at around $20,500 for the past few days. I ferried the aircraft new from the factory in 2006 for the buyer in the towers, and it had only done around 139 hrs since then, and had always been hangared. It was a 100hp heliview with the optional flaps and the very nice full-view side doors which gave great visability. My estimate of it's market value as it was would be around 55-60 k so somebody got a real nice Xmas present at $38,500..!!.......................Maj... I've attached some photos I took during the 2006 ferry which was Ballina-Chinchilla-Taroom-Emerald- Charters Towers.

I too, was watching it with great curiousity and wishing that I didn't already have too much aviation apparatus. It was solely the fact that I needed more flying machinery like I need a third nostril (plus the fact that the little lady would painfully extract what little is left of my manhood) that stopped me from throwing my hat in the ring. Congratulations to the new owner and commiserations to the vendor - I reckon he got screwed! Happy holidays all.
Guest Maj Millard Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Yes Riley, I too would have been walking funny for a while if I had dared to cast a bid ,although I was very tempted when it sat in the 20 K range for so long. Especially fustrating for me, as I knew the aircraft well, and what a nice capable plane it is. Hell take that training wheel off the front, and put a real wheel on the back, and you end up with one of these !!.........................................................Maj...
winsor68 Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Damn... I hope that was Santa bidding and he just hasn't dropped it off yet. 1

Hey Windsor haven't you heard about the naughty/nice thing I've got going http://www.quizrocket.com/naughty-or-nice-quiz Maybe next year Regards Santa 1
Hongie Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Yeah I was wondering about it... I sent a message to the vendor asking a few questions, but alas I still have no where to put an aircraft at this stage.. :( otherwise, it coulda been me!!
Camel Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I did bid and close to owning it, as I own 2 aircraft already and Mrs was pissed off and started threatening all sorts of things when I missed it life got peaceful again. 2
bones Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Well its still in the hangar seen it this morn, pity to see it go, but it was hardly being used, but for that price it would have been a good buy.
Mackay777 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Damn... I hope that was Santa bidding and he just hasn't dropped it off yet. Stop smoking the funny weed's. All the best to you and your family!!!!!!!

The other goodie to try, send an email to:- [email protected] The odor of a rat is rife. Regards, Keith Page..

Guest Maj Millard Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 At around $5000 starting price could this be a reposession. The finance company usually only want back what is owed........................................................................................Maj...
skyfox1 Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Hi Maj it started at 99c l have sent three email to this seller still no responce must be a scam.
ave8rr Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 This from memory is not the original person who was auctioning the aircraft. That person also auctioned a Piper Pacer and an aircraft engine type / model I cant remember at the same time. I wonder if the successful bidder first time round needs to move it on with out picking aircraft up hence still in YHCT. As Bones said above this is probably a scam though. Cheers
Guest Maj Millard Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Mmmmm....interesting scam...hence the need to call him before bidding ?.......no doubt he would then say you've got it, now give e your credit card details........Not ! ................................................................Maj...
