Neil_S Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Got mine today too. Looks good - still reading through it....
Ignition Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Geez, for once I'm not the first to get the mag...
facthunter Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Got mine 2 days ago. Seeing as many people stopped working a week ago that's a pretty good effort. Nev
Ignition Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I got mine today... not too keen on the 'new look'... about to flick through it now... Just comparing the cover of the September Sport Pilot mag, which was also lime green, but in the old-new style, and this January edition, I would definitly grab the September one first...
eightyknots Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I like the propeller in the middle of the O in Sport. It's a shame that was dropped for 2012.
Neil_S Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I like the propeller in the middle of the O in Sport. It's a shame that was dropped for 2012. Me too. Perhaps they could put it back in the new design.....
facthunter Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 They had complaints about the "hubcap" look of whatever it was supposed to represent, ( A Radial Engine?) Hard to please the multitudes. Just replace it with a Wright J5 F and I will be happy. Nev
Guernsey Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I agree with you guys, I did like the Prop however I do like the fact that Recreational is mentioned TWICE 'Recreational Aviation' and 'Recreational Pilots ' I suppose the prop does look a bit like a hub cap so how necessary is it when we usually have an aircraft on the cover anyway. Thanks Ignition for posting the two mag pictures. Alan.
Neil_S Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 They had complaints about the "hubcap" look of whatever it was supposed to represent, Nev Hubcap look? What do these people drive? Roman chariots? Personally I drive a Subaru, the version without the scythes on the wheel hubs.... 1
