pete8862 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Can anyone give me your thoughts on the Renegades as a practical first plane. Maybe with a 80 Rotax?
dazza 38 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Very strong +10/-6 at 750 pounds gross. I think 950 pounds is max.Never flown one but, the front seat looks like it would be hard to get into. Small area to slip into under the top wing.Back seat no problem.I have read a few flight tests on them.Sounds like they a very nice to fly.Murphy Air had the rights and the jigs for the renegade for sale, as well as material to build a couple of them a few years ago.I dont know whether they sold it .
facthunter Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Very good looking plane, but the nose is a bit long with the light motor. With the position of the top wing access to the front seat (PASSENGER'S) is a bit difficult, for larger and less agile persons. Not a fast plane with the 80 hp motor.. Nev
