IanR Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I am in Brisbane for a week or so at a sailing event - we have a day off tomorrow - where would be best to go for a drive to just look at aircraft ? Caboolture, Watts Bridge, other ? 1
facthunter Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I would say Caboolture, but listen to others. What's the weather like there tomorrow, Ian. I called in there after the Kingaroy event and it was like a rice paddy. Nev
IanR Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Its not too bad here - not as warm as I thought it would be. I dropped in at Caboolture after Kingaroy too - was so wet I kept driving home - think it will be better than that !
Tomo Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Caboolture is good, but you kinda need to know someone there to get to see many aircraft as they are usually all hangered! If I wasn't busy tomorrow morning I'd fly over and show you around Ian, or take you for a fly over the coast! But alas, I won't be able to this time I think a few will be out and about at Caboolture tomorrow so that is probably your best bet I reckon.
facthunter Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 If you're there, go to hangar 100 and ask for Ray Vuillermin. right down the end, He's got a tiger and an auster there in very good condition. Nev
