I've been daydreaming a bit today about places I'd quite like to fly over and see one day. One of those things is the Marree Man Geoglyph

(image from stolspeed aerodynamics site: http://www.stolspeed.com/coober-pedy-trip ).

I was wondering if anybody knows or has flown over any other interesting geoglyphs? I believe there are a few in WA, but I have not been able to locate any pictures.

There is a "Readymix" logo just North of the highway out around Balladonia on the Nullabor. I'll see if I still have the co-ordinates - you can see it on Google Earth. Found it..

There was a geoglyph on Lake Hume for a while too, but water doesn't keep its shape as long.

I recon my Avatar would make a good one. 037_yikes.gif.f44636559f7f2c4c52637b7ff2322907.gif

We've got an airfield that could do with a bit of artwork.........on second thoughts my reputation might put off people wanting to land there.

Oh well it was just a thought.

Silly old cow Alan.

Apparently, the Marree Man is rapidly disappearing. If so, you need to get there ASAP

Anybody know the co-ordinates for the Marree Man?

I spent an hour last night on Google Earth trying to find it.

Apparantly its still visible if you approach from the SE (I think). I wonder if the Marree community will organise somebody to redo it.

You should do it Alan... it'll raise the profile of flying cows everywhere.
