Yes im gobbed smacked by the lack of industry support. Very few exhibitors compared to previous years. Have no idea why? Weather is fantastic although I did just hear an announcement to make sure aircraft are tied down as wind gusts are expected. Waiting to see who shows tomorrow...

Maybe the industry people are holding their breath and hoping for a move back to Narromine for next year once the three year experiment is over, just hope they haven't waited until the people who knew how to organise a well run event, have moved on. Temora is a very long way from Qld and Monto every second year is good fun but only a consolation prize.

Latest info from RaaUs is that they have signed up for another three years at Temora see latest Sport Pilot page 7, Presidents Report, end of first paragraph states:-

 

' The Board recently agreed to keep the event at Temora for another three years ' Steve Runciman.

I have been to Natfly at both venues and Temora would be hard to beat as far as facilities are concerned. Folk just need to get over it and either support it or not! It will take its own course. I know I will support the business here on display.

Guys at Temora. I would love to catch up with you all tomorrow. I was marshalling on the bike or in the tower all afternoon, so missed most of you. My plane is on Garry's stand (we have 5 planes across 3 plots- a major exhibitor) and I should be there all morning. Please seek me out.

 

Went to The OzRunways prez this evening. Was a hoot. I love this software. Bas and Rowan are doing awesome things.

Bit of a storm ripped through here last night. They forcasted 80kms winds. Hope all had their planes tied down, and no damage. We are in a hangar with ours and it was shaking the roof off!

 

Alot cooler too today...walking around rugged up!

Plenty of aircraft not a lot of rag & tube, The trade sites were lacking some regulars that are normally attend but were not here this year(not sure why).There was a lot of Gyro's on display this which is good to see. Congratulations to the orgainisers & volunteers a job well down.
