kaz3g
YCAR? I've been overseas for two months now and boy do I miss flying back home ? Yes, that’s Carnarvon with the Gascoyne River flowing under the sands to the sea. when it runs in flood it can be huge. I saw the fuel pumps at the servo near the main highway with just the very tops showing one time. The irrigation blockies pull their pumps out when they hear the river is coming down. I remember departing there one evening, must be 40 years ago, in a very heavily laden C172....not saying more except we waited until Flight Service had closed! A little younger a much sillier then ? Student Pilot
Of the estimated possible 400,000,000,000 airstrips in the world surely some sort of area should be included with the pic?

Mike Gearon
Would the NZ poster consider NZ not international? Australia not international? Both domestic? Does make me feel better about mine. No powerlines, less trees and a big expanse of water to sort it all out if things aren't going to plan.
perrynz
Certainly domestic at the moment.

pylon500
G'day all, just going a little sideways here for a second... Found a new airstrip register site, and wonder if anybody (in Tassie) knows the owner? https://landingareas.com.au/ It looks pretty, but as soon as people see you have to log in to use it, most will just move on. Owner should at least have a contact detail (email) so people can update his info, and figure out how to register to log in...🤔
