Anyone been here or here?kaz

Double bump - yes, I've been there, IIRC it's their hangar at Winton?? Or is it the Longreach one? I remember the Winton one had a lot of interesting artefacts left out in the open and not looted, surprisingly...

This is short final Runway 14 Myrup at Esperance. At #3 you shouldn't have to chase the roos off the strip!

That would be Rylstone Aerodrome and Airpark. Lovely spot to fly in, just dont touch down as you hit the hum at the intersection pointing east.

Ah that Old Aeroclub building at Rylstone brings back many happy memories from the 70s, when we wold go there for the weekend from Sydney to skydive. It was the Rylstone-Kandos Aero Club back then, and we all had to be members. They had a neat set of little gold wings with RK on them, and a little parachute hanging off the bottom if you were a jumper. The 74 National Championships were held there at Xmas, but that's another story................Maj...012_thumb_up.gif.cb3bc51429685855e5e23c55d661406e.gif

It has not changed much but it sure will. Amazing place to fly with lots to see and a great pub with Coopers on tap ! We are about 2 weeks away from finishing our Hangar there. Number 1 !

Haven't been out there for years. Heard the town has changed a bit with the lack of work in the area though, new people moving out there etc.

Rob has done a great job in ensuring it is kept a " old country grass airstrip " and the town has not changed much if at all...

Spot on! If I can lay claim to any "home" airfield, it would be Teewah. Lots of fond memories of learning to fly there.

My turn to play. Should be easy for you aviators, even without any external visual references:

Spot on, Sir Head. This picture was taken during a fly-in circa 2009. It's a Mecca of sorts for pilots wanting some interesting logbook entries and is frequently visited on weekends. People often stay overnight in the Bedouin encampent there before ascending Massada at dawn.

.

This shot of Massada was taken at 5:45 a.m., after my son and I got up an hour after the hikers who slept next to us.

Israel is on the west side of the Dead Sea. After lingering for a few more minutes we were greeted by this sunrise. Altitude here is about zero feet ASL.
