Tomo Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 To feel the power as you hit full throttle, the lightness in the wheels as you lift off, and the glorious view that magically appears as you climb away from the land that we all know so well. Flinging yourself into the vast expanse of endless sky, to be able to dance with the clouds, and be as free as a bird. That’s what I love about flying. 8
RKW Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 That was almost poetic, Tomo. You have a great way of capturing the moment. Bob
planedriver Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Tomo, you'll soon be catching with Heinz 57 varieties. Good on you mate. Rgds Planey
naremman Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Tomo, you are assuming Richard Bach like qualities. That enthusiasm needs to be bottled. Have you read Bach's "A Gift of Wings"? A great read if you can find a copy.
shags_j Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Do you play Sax as well Tomo? Must be a pilot thing...
robinsm Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Dammit Tomo, you have been reading my mind again:smile:
Yenn Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 If you are playing Jazz, then you are truly gifted. Flying and Jazz So good. 1

I love the 'word picture' you have just painted, Tomo. That is how I think of flying too but you have expressed so well in writing! 1
Tomo Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Thanks guys! Was a moment of inspiration, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah play Sax, wouldn't say I'm good at it though, self taught, as with most of the instruments I play. (including the fool)
shags_j Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 That's alright. I learnt at the Conservatorium for 6 years and still was outplayed by guys that were self taught. Kudos for still playing though. I haven't had the opportunity to pick it up for 12 years. They are sitting in a cupboard gathering dust.
planedriver Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Just watch out for the women Tomo. If a good looking young fellah like you, can serenade them with music and also fix their mowers when it breaks down, they'll all be queing up:babe: 3
fly_tornado Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 A romantic gondola ride down the mighty Myall creek on a moon lit night...
Guernsey Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 A romantic gondola ride down the mighty Myall creek on a moon lit night... .....playing his Sexaphone. Alan. 1

(maybe that should be peculiar!!) Don't be naughty Mr Alan, just because you're a cool cow, doesn't mean you can get away with everything... 1
fly_tornado Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Remember Tomo God gave you Bundy rum to cure the curse of being particular.
