Garry Morgan Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 For those who want a 95-10 or a hassle free aircraft, 150kg empty, we are doing plans and or parts. Morgan Aero Works. 1
Garry Morgan Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 The 95-10 Diamond plans wont have a tapered wing ( but can be done) cost about $450.00 and most motors can be used. it will look the same as the kit Super Diamond aircraft.
Gribble Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Im guessing its the Mk1 Diamond specs modded to suit 95.10? Where are you trimming 35kgs from? Suitable for your more husky sized man in both height and width? Some more specs would be nice, but you definately have my attention.
Garry Morgan Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 The super diamond has the same spars and fuse tube sizes as the sierra, this makes it well over strength approx 15G aircraft and a lot more in the fuse, so a redesign of materials will reduce a lot of weight, and it will still carry a very good payload, and still look like a real aeroplane, The prototype with a 90lb 503 rotax was 185kg.
Garry Morgan Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 If you are interested please ring the workshop, We are bussy with LSA stuff at present and some delays in getting them ready, but also there has been no/ little intrest in them so far,
moz Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 A few questions: Can the Super Diamond be built as a tailwheel Do the wings come off for regular transport Are four strokes such VW or 1/2 VW useable?
Garry Morgan Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 all our aircraft can be nose or tail wheel just turn around the main frame all our aircraft de rig in 5-10 min, easy for doing it each day, we did it for 20 yrs every saturday. If using a VW I would use 4 cyl not a 2 cyl but could be used , they dont have much power.
Garry Morgan Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Plans for the Super Daimond ane now avaible MK 1,2,3 1
crazy diamond Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Ok, how much and what's the go?? I need something to build!
Garry Morgan Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Plans are $450.00 with construction manual and photos, any parts are available from our workshop.
fly_tornado Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Do you have a price list of the parts? Things like canopies, cowlings and welded parts speed up the build.
Guernsey Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Do you have a price list of the parts? Things like canopies, cowlings and welded parts speed up the build. Give them a phone call, they are very helpful. Alan.
Gribble Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Is there a rough estimate of the cost of materials if built to plan? I know its hard to be excact due to fluctiating prices but a ball-park figure would be tops. Cheers
Garry Morgan Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 about $3,500, a 1600 VW doesn't need much work to it for an auto con, or a 337-503 rotax would be the cheapest way for a motor 2-3k instruments and fit a hand held radio 2
Garry Morgan Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 well do you think a 2 seater in plan form would interest people 1
silvercity Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 well do you think a 2 seater in plan form would interest people Yes, I'm sure there would be interest in an affordable, simple, plans-built 2 seater.
fly_tornado Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Don't take this the wrong way but I think what is missing from Morgan Aeroworks is marketing. Look @ the big US kit manufacturers like Sonex and Zenith and their marketing is miles ahead of what you are doing now.
rankamateur Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 well do you think a 2 seater in plan form would interest people Isn't this question the first step to marketing, find out if what you offering is what the market wants, when it wasn't, ask what they might want instead. The market is having a holiday at the moment anyway so perhaps it is a bad time to ask?
Garry Morgan Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 Tornado, I total agree with you, as a small business it is hard to find the money to get a marketing manager as others do, that turn over big money in a big manufacturing. I have someone else do our web site, as people have said to me about doing more updates, It would be good be able to do it .Good point.
fly_tornado Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 I am sure you will sell a few more kits if you focus on your customers issues with taking on a kit. Its a big commitment.
Garry Morgan Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 There is a 2 seat coming to build of a plan, and components, and a range of other aircraft to suit all levels .Also self launch gliders, like the idea of flying for free.
