dazza 38 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I dont think that aircraft have to have a Header Tank.I dont know the fuel system of a hornet from a bar of soap. But if I flew one.I would have checked it out.Tecnams (well the Golf, Echo Super and Eaglet that I have flown) dont have a header tank. The problem IMO can ne having 2 seperate taps.By that I mean, two taps that can be selected to the "off" at the same time. That IMO is not the best design, but it is workable.Piper (archers/warriors etc) have only one tap/selector which in Left/Right/Off. Pipers have had plenty of fuel exhaustion failures over the years, due to finger trouble. The key is for all Pilots to know their Aircraft.Especially fuel systems. 1
