Last night police knocked at my door...holding a picture of my wife.

They said, "Is this your wife, sir?"

Shocked, I answered, "Yes."

They said, "I'm afraid it looks like she's been hit by a bus."

I said, "I know, but she has a lovely personality."kiss.gif.b85e4cbf93c012b498aab8fe7d5a5fe6.gif

Nice one PD.

Now, true story. One night about 15 years ago, the police knocked on my door.

They said "Is this your wife sir?"

Sure enough, there was my wife, bare footed and wearing only her nightie.

"She was seen over at the servo and the proprietors called us. She appears to have lost her memory but we traced her to you because she was still wearing a hospital tag"

She had been released from hospital the precious day and some how the tag had been missed. She didn't know me or our house so she was bundled back into the paddy wagon and taken back to hospital. I followed up and was later asked by a doctor to return home and find a photo of her son from a previous marriage. Fortunately, she recognised her boy and the doctor gradually bought her memory back starting at her sons birthday. It was facinating to see the 'doors of memory' opening until she turned to me and asked "What am I doing here".

A lesson for us all, anaesthetics take a long time to get out of your system so, in our cases, no flying for at least a week after being knocked out.
