It was also great to be able to hand the stick over every half hour or so and this left us much fresher for landing, and that all important first beer.

It is also nice for me to be passing on some of my hard-learned tricks on the art of long cross-country flying. These you learnt well I hope, and will no doubt make you a better and safer aviator in the future. As you now know the standard Lightwing with it's big wing requires 'cruise in the groove' to achieve distance and suitable fuel consumption. It was remember, designed for doing student circuts, not 1000+ nm trecks to Temora !....but as you found out, given that you stay in the groove it'll get you there every time.

You were in the groove with the flying you did, and a damn good navigator also...We just have to work on your snooring, and your ability to find the chief pilot stray girls !!..the accomadation was fine.............anytime ok..............................012_thumb_up.gif.cb3bc51429685855e5e23c55d661406e.gif cheers .................................Maj...
