Guest davidh10 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 A very unusually shaped hailstone, about 2cm long. I'm glad I was indoors at the time. The severe winds accompanying the storm brought down my flag pole, thus destroying the outdoor element of my weather station :-( Average hail size was 8mm and we received 12.5mm of rain in about 15 minutes.

Guest ozzie Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Just steady drizzle rain here in the Hunter. looks like it will be that way for a few days.
Powerin Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Had similar to you David, 15mm in two 5min storms and 1cm hail....but it was all round. Enough for me to run around putting vehicles under cover. It was probably the same line of storms as they were heading SW from us.
