eightyknots Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 It seems that ICP is taking over the marketing in the USA directly rather than using the Skykits agent who, we are told "have gone off to do other things". Through this direct arrangement, the Savannah S (this could stand for Smooth says Valter of ICP North America) will be available factory-built (a complete LSA VFR aeroplane) for $USD70,000. At today's exchange rate, $USD70,000 is: $AUD67,700 $NZD85,750 I wonder if we can get them this price Down Under? Here is Dan Johnson's review video, uploaded yesterday US time but today for us:
rankamateur Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Valter is fairly original! http://www.recreationalflying.com/threads/savannah-s.11139/post #6 of 07 Jun 2010 and he can read too!
eightyknots Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 you forgot the GST At yesterday's exchange rate, $USD70,000 is: $AUD67,700 + 10 % GST = $74,470 (nearest $10) $NZD85,750 + 15 % GST = $98,610 (nearest $10)
Kyle Communications Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Hi 80K Don't forget the freight component at least $3000 I would say going on my experiences with sea freight importing of CNC machines and then the container needs to be delivered to a airport where its unpacked and put together also hire of space to do this as well puts it at about $78,000 is pretty close to the mark when you consider Reg has to put them together install other parts like radios and intercom etc the radio and antenna is around $1500 so the price is looking pretty much as advertised to me for a basic factory built and Reg has to be paid to do this as well I would expect and I can tell you its a big job Mark
