Scooby Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 It definately is a practice thing, circuits, circuits and more circuits. The idea is to NOT try to land the plane and hold it off the ground as long as you can and when the airspeed bleeds off it will touch down. It will also come down to the aircraft you fly. When i fly the Tecnam P92E, on approach to the landing, i will start to count down from 50 feet and when i get to 10 feet i will start the flare and hold off. But with the CTLS and SW, you approach the landing a bit different and start the flare a bit earlier. But the bottom line is what ever you fly just keep up the practice and you will get good at it. All the best mate, Scoob
damkia Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Experience is great. It allows you to recognise the same mistake when you make it again!rgmwa ...and madness is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different outcome. VERY fine line between the two with landing.
