kgwilson Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 The Jacaranda Festival Muster at the South Grafton Aerodrome is just around the corner. The Jacaranda Festival is held every year in Grafton NSW. This is a world renowned event that has been held since 1935. For more information see http://www.jacarandafestival.org.au/ All RAA and GA aircraft welcome. This is an informal flyin with preferential treatment to pilots prepared to take one of the Jacaranda Queen contestants for a flight over the city on Sunday morning. Landing fees are waived for the duration of the muster. There is ample parking/tie down, under wing camping and the club boasts a bunkhouse, kitchen, toilet and hot shower plus bar and "Veranda of knowledge" facing the taxi way & 900 metres of sealed east/west strip or 1200 metres of grass. Avgas is not available but it is only a short distance to local Mogas suppliers. We have a sponsored Van available to transport visitors to town and food and beverages are available at the clubhouse including a good Aussie Brekky on Sunday morning.
