nigelm Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Hi Guys, I have just received from Australia some Vortex generators (Stolspeed) that I intend to fit to the wing of my Tecnam Bravo. My mate at the strip has a Tecnam P92 and has recently fitted same and swears by them. My main reason for fitting is because we have many short fields around here 400mtrs or less, I figure that reducing approach speed even if only by a little has to be a good idea. What do you think. Have any of you any experience with these. Any advise would be appreciated. Cheers from sunny although skint Spain. Nigel.
Louis Moore Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Have fitted kits to several different aircraft types with varying results. But they all definitely did something!
facthunter Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 They can help. Chase up as much info as you can on the web, and do it properly. They are approved on some certified aircraft, but would have to be installed in an approved way (in that instance). They are installed on some savannah's.( I think) There may be performance data out there, for some applications... Nev
Louis Moore Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Fitting them is normally not to hard if you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!
