motzartmerv Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 Makes what we do seem like a day in the veggie garden... 2
damkia Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Nuts......................................and they have definitely got them.
pudestcon Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 You'd have to research those runs very well - imagine flying down a ravine to a dead end!! Pud
motzartmerv Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Was that a left turn or a right turn after this cliff???.....
Guest ozzie Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 It's now 'Base' season in the northern hemisphere. A whole new generation of wingsuits are being tested so it won't be long before new footage starts appearing.
brilin_air Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I believe Jeb Corliss is over in China at the moment working on something after his near miss in January this year. -Linda
Guest Howard Hughes Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Makes what we do seem like a day in the veggie garden... I like it that way!
motzartmerv Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 I like it that way! lol..True... I just wonder how these guys climb those mountains with the terrible incomberment of balls the size of watermelons. 2
Pilot Pete Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 And I've had people tell me I'm nuts for flying ultralights 1
Compulsion Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Where do they keep the cardboard boxes for landings. LOL
eightyknots Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Gob smacked!!!!!! Whichever way you look at it, this is truly ultralight flying! It's all downhill for these pilots: the little jet engine doesn't appear to help any pilot gain altitude, something Pratt & Whitney could look into perhaps?
Guernsey Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Where do they keep the cardboard boxes for landings. LOL In a nearby 'Cardboard Hangar'. Alan.
Guest Howard Hughes Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Whichever way you look at it, this is truly ultralight flying! Sadly if I was flying one of these, I'd have to suffix my callsign with the word 'heavy'!
facthunter Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Looks like a monk run over by a steamroller from above. Addicted to adrenalin. I'll stick to veggies rather than become one if I crash. nev
pylon500 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 the little jet engine doesn't appear to help ?Do you mean the smoke flares on their ankles?
alf jessup Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I believe Jeb Corliss is over in China at the moment working on something after his near miss in January this year.-Linda Linda, Wouldn't say busted legs in Sth Africa was what you would call a near miss as he actually hit the rocks (CFIT), maybe landing gear up after he smashed them up could be class as that. Bigger Marackers than me, not now not never but entertaining. Alf
Mark11 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I just wonder how you go about learning this... very quickly I imagine... Incredible place to "fly" like this... but it aint for me!
Guest Howard Hughes Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I like the idea of the wings with jets, Yves Rossy style! Although he hasn't perfected landing yet either!
planedriver Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I like the idea of the wings with jets, Yves Rossy style! Although he hasn't perfected landing yet either! With just the thought of my personal landing gear being closest to the ground, brings tears to my eyes:yikes: 2
Louis Moore Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I am not sure if the term is excited or very very scared Motz!
