Hadyn Bell Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Hi All, We have our Savannah S under construction here on Norfolk Island. I have just returned from Australia where I completed my BRF with Neil at Gofly Aviation in Caboolture. Neil you are an excellent instructor. Had the opportunity to meet with Mark Kyle and discuss his Savannah build, what a wealth of knowledge, thanks Mark.
Gnarly Gnu Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Welcome Haydn, sound like a lot of fun.! Just thinking Norfolk Island would be an interesting spot to do nav training - maybe an Auckland leg with return via Brisbane?
sfGnome Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Shouldn't have too much of a problem with the 25 mile limit up there! Welcome.

Great to meet you Haydn, I'd love to visit and fly with you on your turf, so if you want a test flyer, I'm in!. Thanks for the feedback and I know Mark will be a great source of knowledge in your build. Good luck & thanks again
eightyknots Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 I have just booked a ticket from NZ to my home country (Australia) and the ticket tells me that the flight will be "NON STOP". I feel really good about that advice. Perhaps, with the long-range fuel tank option, you could reach New Zealand one day (non-stop, of course!) ...or perhaps Australia with a stop-over at Lord Howe Island. By the way, welcome to the Forum!
