planedriver Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Many on here would have witnessed Nester Slepsev flying backwards in his Storch with a slight headwind. Well it looks like he might have some serious competition. For the past half hour i've been tracking aircraft on Flightradar24 and there's a Saudi Arabian Airlines 747SP currently Near Wagga Wagga flying backwards at 37,950ft. It shows an airspeed of 0 knots. I reckon they must have forgotten something, maybe, undoing the tie-downs. What do you think?
Guest Howard Hughes Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Slowing down to make the morning curfew in Sydney? PS: Not looking good PROB30 500 FOG
Guernsey Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Simple really...the earth is rotating underneath him at the same speed as he is flying. Alan.
planedriver Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 You wouldn't believe it, but after another 1/2 hr or so, he reverse parked it at Tullamarine. I kid you not. The pilot got down on the tarmac and did something like this:beg: Not sure whether he was an Aussie pilot, or not?
