ayavner Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Nice one Scott and thanks for the vid (watching now)! Sorry but I'm nto familar wtih the song or artist, can you let us know who sings that? cheers
cscotthendry Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 The band is the Hoodoo Gurus. They're an Aussie band. That's one of the reasons I like the song. The other reason is it always reminds me of Heath's video. PS, the name of the song is the same as the Vid 1000 miles away from the Kinky album.
corvairkr Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Awwww what about this classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1iyJq-aNRU Jason 2
pudestcon Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Another contender in the country theme would be "I Can Fly" by Lynn Bowtell and Karen O'Shea. I have it on a 2 cd set called "Outback Adventures". If you are into Australian country music this album has some really great stuff on it. Check it out. Pud
TurboJetta83 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Some great classics there! For me, it would have to be 'The Theme From One Six Right' by Nathan Wang, from the documentary film 'One Six Right'. Fittingly, it was written for just such a purpose - and written perfectly I believe. It's a great film to see too, if you haven't already. 1
corvairkr Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 This is one of my favourites not just for flying but life in general . jason 1

ayavner Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Well... not strictly a flying song, but here's a nice one I could see playing on a nice relaxed flight... banking over the north east winds...
boingk Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Thants the way... good songs guys. I'll throw a few random ones out there: Cheers - boingk 2
winsor68 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Here's my fave and a great vid to go with it. The Music AND the footage is great... Friarpuk on Youtube has some nice videos... very smooth. 2

brilin_air Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 This is the song we taxi and take off to, Little River Bands' Album " The Definative Collection" is a pleasure to listen to while we fly. -Linda 1
Compulsion Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Ok I am going to ask a dumb question. If we are wearing headsets and listening out for radio traffic how can we listen to music while flying. I would love to be able to listen to music and still be safe in the air. 1
dazza 38 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Never done it myself, but apparently the music cuts out when you transmit and when your radio picks up a transmission.Something like that.
boingk Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Compulsion - I bought my first headset a few months back and its a Rugged Air RA-900. Search for them on eBay under the seller 'ruggedradios' which is the factory direct supplier. This headset comes equipped with a 3.5mm jack for iPhones, iPods and other musical devices. They play through the headset at a level thats easy to listen to, but is overridden by all but the lowest (ie right before the 'off' click) levels of intercom and radio chatter. Any normal level will override it easily and clearly I have found. I can also vouch for pilot comfort, ease of use and general overall quality and would recommend this headset to anyone. They cost around $170 shipped from the US supplier. Link is here. Cheers - boingk
