I saw this quite some time ago and just came across it again thought I would post it incase others hadn't seen it. Its james may from that great show "Top Gear" taking a ride in a U2 to 70,000 ft its goes for about 10 mins and seems to be a life changing experience

That clip was an excert from a 1 hour show that James May did on space flight. The show was really interesting. In it he also spoke about the Apollo 11 rocket which had over 6,000,000 individual components, he posed the question of how many components fail if they only achieved a 99% success rate 037_yikes.gif.f44636559f7f2c4c52637b7ff2322907.gif

Don't you just love the quote from John Glenn, US astronaut, who famously said:

 

"As I hurtled through space, one thought kept crossing my mind: Every part of this capsule was supplied by the lowest bidder."

James May also owns a Decahtlon with the rego - G-OCOK

I saw that photo on facebook. Classic!

 

I also saw a plane today at Caboolture with the rego VH-POM. I instantly thought of James May. :-)
