Mick Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 That clip was an excert from a 1 hour show that James May did on space flight. The show was really interesting. In it he also spoke about the Apollo 11 rocket which had over 6,000,000 individual components, he posed the question of how many components fail if they only achieved a 99% success rate For those of you that don't know James May is one of us, he owns a Luscombe Silvaire that would be LSA registerable in Oz. 2 1

Don't you just love the quote from John Glenn, US astronaut, who famously said: "As I hurtled through space, one thought kept crossing my mind: Every part of this capsule was supplied by the lowest bidder." 1
fly_tornado Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 James May also owns a Decahtlon with the rego - G-OCOK he certainly loves it!
facthunter Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Right on the edge of space. 95% of the atmosphere's molecules below you. OAT would be about minus 60 degrees. Nev
RobynD39 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 James May also owns a Decahtlon with the rego - G-OCOK I saw that photo on facebook. Classic! I also saw a plane today at Caboolture with the rego VH-POM. I instantly thought of James May. :-)
