Gnarly Gnu Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Watch for the circling black helicopters also flyerme. Generally more sinister - or could be Gary Williams. 2
Studentbiggles Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Hi Gnarly......and what a stunning "Robbie 44" that Gary flies too ........got to fly "Black Betty" with Gary ......and it was my 1st time in a chopper:smile:... Hey Flerme, I marshalled Gary down at Mt Ive station last year in "BB"......you can contact him on Aeroscene and get him to buzz over for a Flyin + 2
Compulsion Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Gary is my instructor in the Jab170. Hopefully going up with him today. Great guy and a really good instructor. He must be because he sent me solo. lOL
REastwood Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 There is an NDB and VOR situated at Tailem Bend. Training facilities use it to practice NDB and VOR approaches as well as intercepts etc for IFR.

Patrick Normoyle Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Flyerme, I think it is EMP, a Baron out of Adelaide airport doing nav training, they should be out there today Friday at about 11am.
motzartmerv Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Could be calibrating the aids.. They do that quite often. A kingair shoots approaches down the ILS at nowra for a day or 2 about once every couple of months here.
