Blueadventures Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Fitted in a 42 minute after work fly this afternoon. Nice weather and a bit of burn off smoke around. Fitted the PLB birthday present (one less bit of safety kit to pack before long flights as I used to borrow the boats EPIRB) and put a little more colour on the cowls of the Nynja. Cheers Mike 2
Blueadventures Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 No flying this weekend as were at the 48 hour mark of continious rain. Can't complain as had a great Thursday, Friday, Sat and Sunday when got to fly 3 out of the four days. While its wet I have decided on the Samsung mini mounting and fabricated it today. I'll fit it to the panel tomorrow with four nut plates and screws so the mount iseasily removed if required. Attached is some images of it (yet to be painted matt black and have the retainers soft riveted. Also some images of last Sundays catch up in the morning. 3
Blueadventures Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Finished off the mini samsung mount, all trimming done; just need to paint and its ready to install and hold the tablet on future flights. 2

DGL Fox Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Nice Mike, the strip at Marion seems a bit rough? or was that just the way it looked on the video. David

Blueadventures Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Weekend before last flew the Nynja from Marian to Ingham and back. Overnighted at Donnington and Ingham. Nice flying and caught up with some flying friends. Look forward to doing it again some time. If weather godd should get to Watts Bridge on the last weekend of August. 1
Blueadventures Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Flew the Nynja to Watts Bridge last weekend. Caught with Ken and his Nynja there. Time 4.7 hours down and stopped at Kingaroy on the way down and at Maryborough, Emu Park and a private airstrip on the way back. Very enjoyable in the Nynja. These are some of the sights. Blueadventures Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Yesterday and today I finished a couple of small jobs I had on my list of things I wanted to do. 1. was to get the low fuel light working and verify it worked, 2 was to put a little more tension on the center lexan tube and 3 was to do a check of the engines pneumatic carby balance; engine running smooth but always worth a check. Got the low fuel light operational and drained some fuel to verify it was working correctly; then did a pneumatic carb balance with a syncromate unit (What a great piece of kit) only required a 1/3 of thread adjustment to what it was. And then put about 9mm move forward on the centre lexan support tube. (This had me beat as its a bit tight doing the adjustment; I had a few ideas in my head about how to redo it; then recently I had a thought and used a turnbuckle and some small chain. Worked a treat.) So with all that done I whent for a fly this morning up the Lakeside Airoark and saw some friends who had been busy doing some fabric work on a Lightwing. Great flting weather and now have 88 hours on the Nynja. Can't wait for the next flight; very soon. Cheers Mike

Greg the agent flew up and did a final look over and some final adjustment before the first flight; His knowledge and experience was invaluable to me at this time.I'm looking forward to suitable weather this Saturday so I get more time flying in. Cheers Mike Nynja is one year old now, clocked up 93 hours and looking forward to the next flight. Just back from a 3 hour round over night trip last weekend. For those who have not flown in a Nynja; have a fly when you get the chnce as thier a great aircraft. Cheers Mike 2

The town is a short walk with accomodation and resturants and food outlets. There are a nice couple who have there aircraft hangar ajoining the airstrp and they are always happy to assist you with getting fuel and to the shops etc. Plus there is nice flying to the north as well. The airstrip is located south of Yeppoon on the coast. A nice tidy town. Cheers Mike 1
Blueadventures Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 Had three terrific flights in the Nynja over the weekend. Two on Saturday and one today. Today I had a mate accompany me for his first flight and he will be back again. Great air, vis and 28 liters of fuel and toured to the Prosperpine area the high valley dams and return to Marian airfield. There was a Drifter, Bristell and Savannah also in the air flying the local area. Should get up again this week then the 100 hourly engine service. Looking forward to the flyin season and overnight camping catch-ups. 2
Blueadventures Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Fitted in a flight between and around the rain showers on Saturday then on Sunday flew to a local airfield at Palmyra to catch up with the Aero club day. More rain showers that day so got the chamos out and gave the Nynja a fresh water bath. Now have 99.9 hours on hobbs so not flying until the engines 100 hrly is completed. Then looking forward to some trips and overnight catchups at other airfields. I tried out a new mounting for the GoPro and its needs a slight adjustment forward and down a little. A mate came who flew his Drifter earlier that day. I would have gone for a Drifter fly but was fitting the GoPro mount. Next time I'll do some tail dragging in the Red Drifter. 2

zodiac3813 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Hi Mark, love your build! Makes mine look rather shabby ;-) BTW did the seats come with the kit? How comfortable are they? I'm struggling to be comfortable with the standard Swift seats...
Blueadventures Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Hi Mark, love your build! Makes mine look rather shabby ;-) BTW did the seats come with the kit? How comfortable are they? I'm struggling to be comfortable with the standard Swift seats... Hi Jim Mike here, I bought kit friom Mark who staterd the thread off. Re seats I find them very comfortable being moulded fibre glass with paded fabric covering over and they have mountining options to set the height for the persons height. I have done 4.75 and many 2 hour plus flights and no issues with seating position / comfort. The're a great aircraft with a good turn of speed for cross country flights with great vision from the cockpit. With the wing tanks totalling 104 liters plus the 6 litre collector tank it gives a great range and maintains excellant cg trim. I was impressed with your build also when you showed me your Skyranger two years ago. I have 99.9 hours now so needing to complete the 100 hourly's. Now have to work this weekend comming so it will be about 2 weeks away from flying again. Regards Mike.
