Blueadventures
Fitted in a one hour fly early Saturday morning between the rain and wind. It was nice on the way down to Koumala and then back via Sarina. Unable to fly up the valley due to the rain. On the way back the rain caught up and was encountered about 5 miles from home. Cloud was low, but ok visibility. I had an alternate to return south to a friends airstrip. Today's weather was c*rap; rain and very limited vis all day; so just mowed around the hangar so its not reaching the height of sugar cane when the sun comes out. The rain allowed chamois the clean water off and the Nynja is nice and clean. It's been good flying off the bitumen strip as I don't have to clean any mud off the under surfaces. The wash and wax I applied last clean really helps with cleaning the bugs off. Cheers
Blueadventures
I recently got some images of my Nynja in flight from a mate (Vince) who was flying his Nynja with me. He was on a planned trip from Inverell in NSW around Queensland and I did the 200 N/mile leg from Mackay to Donnington west of Townsville with him (would have been great to do the whole trip). It was a good opportunity to compare rpm and speed etc; both were the same readings. Cheers and many safe flights. 1 1

Blueadventures
Fitted in a short fly on New years day. Weather windy and a bit of rain where I wanted to fly pass my daughters place and give the grandkids a look at the Nynja in the air and a wave. 1
Blueadventures
Took the Nynja for a fly with Sandy to the bush last year when a rodeo was on. Caught up with some friends who were camping there and a mate was riding in some events. Plan to visit again this year and stay over night. 1
Blueadventures
Life's a Beach sometimes ? Nice weather for flying; for a change after the early start-up of the wet season. A1 flying conditions. Great to catch up with the Whitsunday Flying Friends gang. Cheers 1
Blueadventures
Fitted in a fly in the Nynja yesterday in the late afternoon over the new road works for the Eton range crossing west of Mackay. On Saturday finished off fitting new 1.3mm inner cables for the throttles and then redid the carby balance. There was nothing wrong with the original throttle inner wire but I felt it needed a better fictionless inner; reading on the Rotax owners forum some time ago it was mentioned that an aircraft builder uses a 1.2mm inner with great success. I could get 1.3 so used that. Very nice movement of the throttles. I then drove over and called in to look over a mate Mike's new 750 cruiser and saw some nice engine runs of the engine. He's getting close now as those who have owner built know. Cheers.

Blueadventures
Hi Mark Yep, Subaru at 150hp built by a guy in Brisbane, forget his name. Should be a goer. Your 'S' build is progressing well; can't wait to see her at a flyin or when I get down your way. I was planned to get to Childers but work got in the way. Also found a carb flange rubber let go as I was doing the annual balance so probably a good omen as would have been an inconvenience on the flight. All corrected now and the Nynja is up and running sweet. I saw the local guys up here landed at your airstrip and I wish I had been there as well and in the videos ?. Next year I'll put in for holidays early so will have time off. Catch up later. Cheers Mike
Blueadventures
Had nice autumn weather and clear skies for a fly to Midge Point and return mid morning today. Just had the annual carb balance done and now have 2 hours running time. All going good. Gave the Rotax 912 a good hard climb to get the oil temp up and all going great. Ready for the trip season now. Plan to make some door locks next; coping a system I saw at Donnington and few trips back. 1

Blueadventures
Fitted in a fly before the rain arrived. The only bit of sun and clear sky was just to the south west in the Eton area. When I landed the rain soon started and allowed a good clean water wash then polish of the bug splats. Also recently made up some locks for the doors. The starboard side is an internal pin and the Port side is an external method. I had been deciding what to do about this since completing the build. Works well. 1
Blueadventures
I had a great visit to Ayr aerodrome for the launch of the Avgas installation by IOR. Ayr YAYR is a seled strip 01/19 and grass cross 11/29. The Mayor and the IOR company representative were there. They put on drinks, BBQ and music. I flew up early from Palmyra Mackay and could only stay until about 1015 and that's when it started. Its a credit to Ayr council and community to see the support they have for such a well maintained airfield, amenities and fuel on site. Emerald council could learn something from Ayr. Put Ayr on your visit list as you will not be dissappointed. Would be good to be able to say this about all airfields. Flying conditions were excellent and it was nice to clock up a 3.8 flight in the Nynja. Cheers.
Blueadventures
Some great news hot off the press. The 'Nynja's will be awesome. 'Flylight' in UK the makers of Skyranger aircraft have advised that they are pretty much there with a 600kg Nynja variant, and BMAA have been ticking off the structural test reports. We are just working on a change to the main landing gear ( composite legs this time - from same supplier Eurostar use.) We are just starting supplying kits with the 600 kg mods - updated landing gear to follow. This will make available a great aircraft with better load capability. This is excellent news for this aircraft line. I will plan to mod mine up before over the next wet season.
Blueadventures
Fitted in a nice 1.4 hour fly around the local area up the valley and across the range to the sea. The air was smooth. Invited two mates but they had other commitments. Either have joined for a fly in the Nynja so a big shame they were unable to come along. Three other local pilots were in the air also although did not see them as we were flying in different areas. Time to add up the hours and renew the RAA membership before next week. Then the annual is due soon after. Cheers
Blueadventures
video of the flight taken with Gopro hero 3 on wide setting seems best. The narrow setting gets a lot of jello / wavey in the video.
Blueadventures
Did the best part of an annual inspection this morning with the first flight after; around the local valley area. On my way back saw matt in his newly refurbished Lightwing also up enjoying the nice winter weather. 20190711_085102.mp4 1
Blueadventures
Made a visit to Hamilton Island on Saturday and caught up with some friends and their aircraft. Weather was nice but no whales seen along the way. Cheers
Blueadventures
Had a nice return flight yesterday from Shute Harbour Air Strip after last weekends Air Show. Left it up there with the unsuitable weather last Sunday and the predicted severe weather and dust for Monday. Great hospitality from a long time friend Alan who had hangar space. When I arrived at 0715 hours he had the Nynja rolled out and had polished the windscreen for the flight home. Weather was great. After takeoff continued south over Shute harbour, then down between Long Island and the mainland, at Cow Island turned right and fly coastal to Palmyra. Also flew over a new strip being preped. Engine is now at 199 hours so full engine service planned during next week. Both engine and aircraft are running great. Absolutely happy with the Nynja. Cheers.
