Thanks Pud, it was also a lot of pleasure meeting you, your wife, and all the gang also of course. The beach was special for me too even though we get to see it a lot up here, as we have a lot more than the rest of you other desert dwellers in this country !..

And of course it would be just great to get over your way sometime. I'll do what I can to make it happen next year, even if I've got to fly the Lightwing all the damn way !..

We have infact just recently sent a recce over that way, in the form of Ian and Julie Wells, who circumnavigated the whole island in the Savvy 'Cab Sav', so we now have the info we need to find you.

It is great that you got to meet that old character, and UL legend Ron Biondi...I didn't have that pleasure this time, although I would have loved to. (That's my punishment for departing too early I suppose.) Ron and Frank have been around as long as ULs have in that area, and both are just Drifter legends pure and simple.

I'm glad you all enjoyed the wine. Ian and julie Wells have me in training on what to buy lately (it has to be 'cab Sav' of course !!) and I must admit I'm getting the taste for it myself...does that mean I have to buy a Savannah ??............I'll get back to you shortly on those photos also........Cheers for now, Ross

This is going to be a long post so brace yourselves!!As most of you know, Gay and I took an outback camping trip with 3 other couples across Australia and somehow ended up on a cane farm at Deeral NQLD. At a patch of paradise I like to call “Farri’s Place”. We spent 2 wonderful days with Frank and Fran, with one couple staying an extra day to chill out....

Maj's wine tasted mighty good!

It sounds like you had a wonderful adventure all round. Nice write-up! 012_thumb_up.gif.cb3bc51429685855e5e23c55d661406e.gif
