Guest Maj Millard Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Fellow forumites Ian and Julie Wells in their Savvy VG 'Cab sav' are expected to return to their 'Heathrow' airfield south of Proserpine some time tomorrow, after completing their 'big trip' circumnavigation of our huge continent. They departed Heathrow on the 5th july, and have been blessed with tailwinds and great weather all the way through the top end, Kimberleys, down the WA coast, and across the Nullabor. They are enjoying their last night out at the Dysart pub in central Queensland, preparing for the final leg home tomorrow. They have posted a trip blog and some great photos on the Whitsunday Aero club site. Check it out and send a message to Ian and Julie if you wish . Ian built the 912 Savvy VG from a kit in pretty short time, and part of the construction was in a shipping container whilst a very active cylone season on the Queensland coast threatened to derail the whole project !.... A most impressive effort all round and a great demonstration of what the true adventurous UL spirit is all about ...!! Well done you two..........
