ExJourno Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Comparable on price. Both complete would come in at a similar price I think Give or take a couple of thousand. The Mini Max planes have options for much smaller and cheaper motors though.. that alone could make a rather significant difference in cost. But I take your point... at one end of the scale there isn't much difference...
winsor68 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 The SD-1 uses a 28-50 hp motor... will fly with the cheaper motors. Actually it is very, very impressive... here is a link to local agent and first Aussie builder Thomas Pluess' build log... he is making great progress. This is the 51% kit... https://picasaweb.google.com/116021783417882855184/ConstructionOfSD1Minisport76?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCJz-kvLen87x-wE&feat=directlink# This would be one of the cheapest kit aircraft in Australia... these kits are comparatively cheap.
