Gentreau Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 G'day. Just joined the forum as I'm going to be moving to Noumea in New Caledonia in the next few months and intend to also get to Oz to do some flying. Nice to get a feeling for how things work down there. Cheers, Gentreau.
Wayne T Mathews Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Welcome aboard Gentreau, Lovely place that New Caledonia. I haven't been there since the early '80s so I'm guessing it'll have changed a lot. Are you going there to work? Or to retire? I would think it'd be a great place to fly. And then there's the fishing. Oh WOW!!!
Gentreau Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Thanks Wayne. Going down there for work, once the details are all sorted. I was in NC last year and it certainly is a great place to fly, especially under the french microlight regulations ! There's plenty of full blown airports run by the state and quite a few smaller strips too. Very difficult to get lost as you're never more than 50km from the coast :)
farri Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Hi Gentreau and . I know nothing about New Caledonia. Over the years I`ve flown quite a few different types of Ultralights, but these days, I mainly fly my Drifter off my own property at Deeral, situated 45 k south of Cairns, Queensland.. Frank.
