Gnarly Gnu Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Some sweet air machines.... the GoPro cameras seem to work real well when there is no propeller involved. "For a year, F-15 fighter pilots used mountable GoPro Hero cameras to capture footage that was compiled in a video to commemorate the 67th Fighter Squadron winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement." Guest Howard Hughes Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 How the hell do you pull a 6g turn and still manage to lift your head up to look around? Hats off!
Compulsion Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Great footage and music. Imagine flying like that. Wow.
Ultralights Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 i think that turn would have been more than 6G..
dazza 38 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I watched a SBS doco on the RAAF pilots. There is a kiwi/aussie ex RNZAF now RAAF ,who is a top hornet fighter pilot. He goes to the physio alot to have his neck fixed up due to the strain of pulling G's and looking for bogies at the same time.
