It would be handy if there was a NOTAM - if you are not on the circulation list for the above PDF [and didn't read it here] how would you know?

 

Maybe a NOTAM will come out before October but short notice if you are planning through there.

As a CERT airport (not private) can this happen without a NOTAM?

 

I have been there several times and only referred to NOTAMS.

 

I accept Thomos post and thank him for it but I have reservations about closing a CERT airport without a NOTAM

 

It has no effect on me for the time referred to but without the PDF from a member of this Forum how are you supposed to know.

 

I think there has been an oversite by some uninformed organisators of the planned event?

 

I would have thought that it could not be done without a NOTAM. But I will leave that to the legal types on this forum. I was under the belief that ERSA and NOTAMS was all that was needed ??????

 

Unfortunately I will not be there this weekend but the closure without notice other then a post here is of concern to me

I know what they are getting at, but if there is an emergency, you will not be getting notice of it, unless you are psycic (sp?)
